Job description
Summary
The Senior Finance Officer assists the Finance Manager in the preparation of timely and accurate financial information and analysis to support the decision-making process of the Executive Management team which meets the group reporting requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting - Assist the month-end close off process as per Company guidelines
Management Accounts Package – 8th of each month
Other Financial reporting – 10th of each month
Assist Finance Manager with ad-hoc financial analysis, reports.
Prepare all reports within agreed quality and delivery standards, ensuring both timeliness and accuracy.
Participate in the company’s annual budget process.
Prepare budgets and supporting schedules for assigned areas directly related to responsible areas.
Assist to analyze and formulate cost cutting strategies for Management’s implementation.
Preparation and review of month End Schedules – 10th of each month
Ensure staff reconciliations and schedules are updated and reconciling items cleared by team members.
Statutory Requirements – Ensure all payments, filings, recording keeping are done timely and accurately.
Fixed Asset Management - Coordinate the Fixed Asset Count, Useful life review.
Maintenance of the Fixed Asset – Register, reconciliation, addition, disposals, sales.
Pricing and Costing - Coordination and completion of pricing and price list.
Pricing and costing scenarios for new and existing clients.
Review and analyze revenue against costing.
Inventory / Cost of Sales Management
Process journals, analysis and reconciliations.
Records Management - Filing ALL documents necessary for the department.
Supervisor and support Account Officers towards the attainment of departmental goals and objectives as needed.
Preparing, reviewing and posting journals as required.
Approval and management of all duties assigned to Accounts Officer.
Execution and leadership of assigned requests.
Support the closure of all audit points.
Updating workflows, processes as required.
Responsible for the safety of all employees under their charge inclusive of safety procedures, safety conditions and equipment and PPE.
Enforce all safety rules and regulations inclusive of HACCP and Food Safety and Hygiene.
Job requirements
Financial Degree or ACCA completion, MBA (as an asset).
Five (5) years’ work experience in a similar position
Strong audit experience
Advanced level user of Microsoft Office
Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics GP and SAP will be considered an asset
Strong understanding and knowledge of Accounts Payables, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger Reconciliations, Taxation and Financial Statement Preparation
Good working knowledge of International Accounting Standards Highly Developed values of - Inspirational Leadership, Service Excellence, and Innovation

Requires an extensive knowledge of business and an excellent command of the English language. Spanish will be an asset.
