Overview
Are you a visionary sales leader with a passion for strategy and expansion? We are seeking a dynamic Sales and Marketing Director to take the helm of a high-performing commercial team. In this executive-level position, you will define the commercial strategy, lead national and regional sales efforts, and work closely with senior leadership to drive performance, planning, and market expansion across the region, including new growth in Guyana.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the Sales and Marketing department, including Commercial Managers, Regional Sales Managers, and an Analytics Specialist.
Design and implement strategic sales plans and targets aligned with corporate objectives.
Collaborate with the production team to inform demand and production planning.
Drive business development initiatives and identify market expansion opportunities.
Oversee regional and local sales strategies to ensure growth and market share increase.
Develop and manage department budgets, forecasts, and performance reports.
Leverage data analytics for informed decision-making and sales optimization.
Ensure effective team structure, performance reviews, and cross-functional alignment.
Job requirements
Experience
Minimum of 10 years’ experience in senior sales and marketing leadership roles
Proven track record of success in regional sales management and market expansion, particularly within emerging markets such as the Caribbean and Guyana
Demonstrated ability to lead diverse commercial teams and drive strategic growth across multiple territories
Experience in developing sales budgets, forecasts, and setting performance targets aligned with business goals
Familiarity with demand planning and close coordination with operations or production teams
Strong business development and analytical acumen with a data-driven approach to decision-making
Prior experience working in or selling to industries such as manufacturing, construction, distribution, energy, or industrial services is highly desirable
Education
Postgraduate qualification or MBA in Business, Marketing, or a related field
