Summary

We are seeking a senior, strategic Chief Financial Officer to join the executive leadership team of a multi‑entity organisation operating within the manufacturing and industrial sector.

This role is responsible for shaping and executing group‑wide financial strategy, supporting sustainable growth, strengthening governance, and providing trusted financial leadership to the CEO and Board.

The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in mergers and acquisitions, complex group structures, and manufacturing environments, while also being a values‑driven leader who builds strong teams, healthy work cultures, and disciplined operating structures that drive productivity without burnout.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic financial leadership to the CEO and Board, supporting long‑term planning, value creation, and enterprise decision‑making

  • Lead group financial strategy, including capital structure, funding, investment appraisal, and disciplined capital allocation

  • Drive and support mergers, acquisitions, integrations, and group expansion initiatives

  • Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting across multiple business units and subsidiaries

  • Ensure strong governance, statutory compliance, financial integrity, and internal control frameworks across the Group

  • Lead treasury, liquidity, working capital, and financial risk management in a manufacturing‑driven operating environment

  • Deliver clear, high‑quality board reporting, financial insights, and scenario analysis to support strategic decisions

  • Build, mentor, and motivate a high‑performing finance leadership team, setting clear expectations and accountability

  • Partner cross‑functionally with operations, commercial, and people leaders to align financial outcomes with operational reality

  • Champion a structured, healthy, and sustainable work culture that enables performance, resilience, and long‑term productivity

Job requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in mergers and acquisitions, including evaluation, execution, and post‑merger integration

  • Manufacturing sector experience
    OR
    Prior experience as CFO of a Group company with multiple subsidiaries

  • Extensive experience operating at Executive and Board level, including board reporting and audit committee engagement

  • Strong background in group finance, governance, treasury, and financial risk management

  • Demonstrated ability to build structure, discipline, and scalable financial systems within growing organisations

  • A leadership style grounded in mentorship, motivation, and talent development

  • Strong commitment to fostering a healthy work culture, clear operating rhythms, and practices that prevent burnout

  • Must be ACCA qualified or have a professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA, CPA, CIMA)

  • A post graduate degree in finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field is an asset
